Sorting visualizer
Pick an algorithm and a layout, press play, and watch it sort, with a tone for every value it touches.
Every element is a colour of the rainbow, so a sorted list is a smooth rainbow: a colour wheel, a sunflower spiral, a ring, a diagonal line or a row of bars. Each comparison, swap and write counts as one operation, the same for every algorithm, so the counter at the bottom is a fair score. The higher the value, the higher the pitch, which is why slow algorithms sound like static and fast ones sound like a glissando.
Shuffles are seeded, so a link always plays the exact same sort. Change the size, speed and seed in the settings, put two algorithms head to head, or make a 1080×1920 video with sound right in your browser, ready for TikTok, Reels or Shorts.
